We are SAMMY'S PET RATS (SAMI). Located in Beaverton Oregon, in the Portland Metro area. Here at SAMI we provide both rescue/foster service to displaced rats, and breeding.
I have been raising rats close to 16 years. I started out In california in 1995 with my VERY first rat Rosie :). Rosie lived to be a ripe age of 5yo. Since then I have been SO in love with rats and there well being and began taking in rats in need of homes. We started breed a few years later, but actually started with mice. I worked closely wit my friend Cassandra, who is a avid pet lover and breeder in california. In 2003 I moved to Oregon with the birth of my son. We brought with us our 3 wonderful girls, but sadly did not get the chance to mate them. Since then we have been slowly working on rescue services again, and with in the last couple years to once again start breeding!
We love and care for all our pet,rescues, or breed rats alike. Aiming high to Have healthy, loving rats with good personalities, temperaments, genes, and health. And welcome the opportunity to find homes those in need. We are happy to say that we are now looking into how to become a non-profit, and finding a bigger home where will have more room to offer those in need :)
